The Canna Consultants is a business facilitation consultancy dedicated to the service of the Cannabinoid industry, formed following the identification of an absolute need for those within the industry to have easy and simplified access to the necessary range of professionals, each with years of regulatory, scientific and trade experience behind them to provide the best advice and assistance to further your business.
This need is made all the more necessary given the wholly uncertain, ill-defined and confusing position created by the interpretation (and mis-interpretation), of the Novel Food Regulations and the MHRA position.
The founders of The Canna Consultants have a wealth of business and legal experience – both practical, through 24 years as a Regulatory Barrister, and academic, as a University Law Lecturer. Coupled with this they have direct experience in the “green rush”, including the traceability of Cannabinoid products via seed to shelf product placement and E.U retail sales of Cannabinoid products (both internal within the E.U. and from out to in).
The benefits of this combination of skills and experience to clients of The Canna Consultants cannot be emphasised too strongly.
MATTHEW LAWSON
BARRISTER
Matt was Called to the Bar in 1995. Prior to being Called, and for a period afterwards, he worked in The City for Kleinwort Benson, an Investment Bank. Following successful completion of the Bar Vocational Course and thereafter Pupillage he gained a Tenancy at Chambers in London, from where he has practiced ever since.
Initially his practice encompassed all Common Law areas but, in common with the rest of the Bar, over time the areas in which he practiced have diminished as his focus on specialist areas has increased. Therefore, for the vast majority of his time at the Bar his practice has centered on the area of “Regulatory Law” encompassing a number of professional fields, with some associated spin-off practice in linked areas.
